The most important type of hair loss in males is male pattern baldness or Androgenetic Alopecia. The main causes of hair loss in men are usually changing in eating habits or crash dieting, change in environment or stress induced due to work or personal reasons
Female Hair Loss: Due to genetics or certain medical reasons like thyroid etc. The main cause of hair loss in women is simple nutritional deficiencies, hormonal changes or stress due to work or mental situation etc.
The mainstay of treatment for MALE AND FEMALE pattern hair loss is finasteride and minoxidil. Finasteride blocks the hormones . Minoxidil increases blood flow to the scalp and promotes hair growth in bald patches or spots.
Apart from oral and topical various procedures are:
platelet rich plasma therapy (PRP),
mesotherapy, micro-needling (derma roller),
low-level laser light therapy (LLLT)
In PRP for hair loss, concentrated growth factors are extracted from the blood of the patient and then transferred back to the scalp of the patient.
In micro-needling (derma roller for hair loss treatment) thousands of micro punctures are created in patient’s scalp with the help of derma roller. These micro punctures result in the release of intrinsic growth factors at that site stimulate hair growth.
In low-level laser light therapy (LLLT), light from a cold laser (red laser waves) is delivered to the hair, this laser light stimulates the hair follicles for faster growth. This treatment is US FDA approved for hair loss problem. In mesotherapy growth peptides, plane stem cell extract and various other growth factors are delivered locally to our hair. All these treatment procedures along with medicine are responsible for the great results. We are able to give to our patients suffering from hair loss.
Hair transplantation, Scalp repair
A hair transplant is a permanent, medical solution to hair loss or hair fall problems. It is a procedure in which hair follicles are removed from the donor area and planted on the recipient site. There are two methods that surgeons use across the world to carry out a hair transplant. One is Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and the other is Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT). FUE is the more popular one due to the quality of the results.
Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-invasive treatment that uses detailed micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp. The result creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles that help thicken and restore the look of fuller hair. This is also effective for those suffering from minor hair thinning or recession.
By accurately replicating your own natural hair follicles and hair color, scalp micropigmentation can help strengthen and add density to thinning areas, creating an undetectable illusion of thicker, stronger hair.
SCALP INFECTION AND ALLERGIES
The scalp can become infected if fungus or bacteria enter the scalp through the hair follicles or damaged skin. Skin damage can result from common skin conditions, such as psoriasis and eczema. Bacteria cause some common infections, such as folliculitis and impetigo. Others, such as ringworm, are fungal.
If you have an itchy scalp and a rash, you may have a condition called allergic contact dermatitis.
Scalp pruritus, known as itchy scalp, is a common condition. Dandruff and an inflammatory skin condition called seborrheic dermatitis are the most common causes of itchy scalp. Seborrheic dermatitis can be the result of stress, seasonal changes, fluctuating hormones, or an overgrowth of yeast on the skin
LOW-LEVEL LASER LIGHT THERAPY (LLLT)
LLLT, light from a cold laser (red laser waves) is delivered to the hair, this laser light stimulates the hair follicles for faster growth. This treatment is US FDA approved for hair loss problem. In mesotherapy growth peptides, plane stem cell extract and various other growth factors are delivered locally to our hair. All these treatment procedures along with medicine are responsible for the great results. We are able to give to our patients suffering from hair loss.
MICRONEEDLING / DERMAROLLER
Derma roller is an instrument that consists of a handle and a roller which is studded with very fine needles. The Derma roller is rolled across the affected area with a minimal pressure. The needles penetrate the skin creating tiny punctures of varying depths depending on the length of needles. The process is done till fine bleeding points are seen.
Threads, mesotherapy, baldness & dandruff
Threads used in aesthetic medicine for rejuvenation of skin, skin tightening, skin lifting, and wrinkle reduction. Hair regrowth in patients with hair loss from androgenetic alopecia has been observed in patients who had PDO threads inserted into their scalps. Polydioxanone threads were introduced in dermal layer at first. The outcome was assessed after 1 and 2 months by clinical examination, trichoscopy, hair pull test and patient self-assessment. PDO threads led to a good clinical result. A significant reduction in hair loss and hair re-growth was observed between first and second month after thread insertion.
PDO threads for androgenetic alopecia is the simple, feasible, gives faster results and comparatively painless treatment option compared to mesotherapy and PRP for hair loss and can be regarded as the valuable adjuvant treatment modality.
Mesotherapy is a brilliant hair fall treatment in which we impart a combination of various nutrients and medication which will boost hair growth naturally. An amalgamation of essential nutrients, vitamins and other growth factors carefully chosen to suit your particular condition. It treats the bald patches, and activates the follicles to show positive results for hair regrowth in both men & women.
MALE PATTERN BALDNESS
Androgenetic alopecia is a common form of hair loss in both men and women. In men, this condition is also known as male-pattern baldness.
With male pattern baldness, hair loss typically occurs on the top and front of the head. With female pattern baldness, thinning occurs on the top and crown of the head. This thinning in women often starts as a widening of the centre hair part that leaves the front hairline unaffected.
Medication may prevent further hair loss. In some cases, surgeons can transplant hair or reduce the area of bald skin. Natural-looking wigs and hairpieces can help cover hair loss.
Scarring hair loss, also known as cicatricial alopecia, is the loss of hair which is accompanied with scarring. This is in contrast to non scarring hair loss.
It can be caused by a diverse group of rare disorders that destroy the hair follicle, replace it with scar tissue, and cause permanent hair loss.
An eyebrow transplant is a cosmetic procedure where hair grafts (plugs) are transferred to your brow area. This goal is that new hairs will grow from these grafts, producing a fuller look
Dandruff is a condition of the scalp that causes flakes of skin to appear. It is often accompanied by itching.
People with seborrheic dermatitis have irritated, oily skin, and they are more likely to have dandruff.
A diode laser uses semiconductor technology that produces coherent projection of light in the visible to infrared range. These unique characteristics make the diode laser the most suitable technology for laser hair removal, enabling safe and effective treatment of all skin and hair types, in all body areas. The diode laser provides a permanent solution for unwanted hair. It works well on any part of the body and is very effective for darker skin tones.
